ISSUE #20 cont'd -- Announcement

YOUR FEEDBACK REQUIRED
Mood Tracking for Smartphones

Hello everyone,

www.mentalhealthtools.org is looking for your help with a grass roots project driven by the needs of a family member who is mentally ill. We’re developing free tools for your smartphone (iPhone, Android, Blackberry, etc.) that make it simple to record and observe data related to mental illness. Data such as medication changes, diet, exercise, sleep and possibly other factors will be plotted against mood so you can see trends at a glance. The goal is to take the guess-work out of treatment by gathering objective "cause and effect" data with minimal effort

We're at a very early stage of develoment and are forming a focus group to first conduct some research. In Phase 1 we will be asking you a few questions about what data is most valuable for you to see and then getting your feedback on some screen mock-ups. In Phase 2 we will be gathering usability feedback on prototypes. This research will be used to gain a better understanding of your needs and iterate faster through the development cycle so we can hopefully get a much better solution out of the gate.

For more info and to sign up, you can visit our website at www.mentalhealthtools.org  You can remain anonymous if you choose and only need to provide a generic email address to participate in the focus group.

The only requirements to participate are that
1) you’ve been clinically diagnosed with depression or bi-polar depression and
2) you own a smart phone.
