TOPIC: THE ONSET OF BIPOLAR DISORDER
I know of two people who have woken up from surgery experiencing their first manic episode in their life. I have also met someone with HIV who said he had learned many people who have contracted HIV also "contracted" Bipolar Disorder, or began displaying the symptoms. I also know a woman who began her symptoms after realizing she was abused as a child. She did have Bipolar in her family.
Do you know of "strange" incidents like this, where something else seemed to trigger the onset of Bipolar Disorder? Send us your comments and we'll print them here.
