ISSUE #12: Sunday June 26, 2011 -- Poetry

A HUGE APOLOGY
to Gene Himbeault

I missed putting his wonderful poem in ISSUE #2. So here it is now. I'm sorry Gene. [Caer]

Don't Run Yourself so Ragged
You ask too many questions for your own damn good
Why's the grass so green and is God really good
You'll never know the answer till you understand
That everything is in it's place and nature's in command

So don't run yourself so ragged searching for the sun
Don't run yourself so ragged, you miss so much when you run

I met a man while searching for the meaning of life
He asked about my pain and the reason for my strife
When I replied he shook his head and pointed to the sun
When your eyes begin to hurt, you know your life's begun

So don't run yourself so ragged searching for the sun
Don't run yourself so ragged, you miss so much when you run

There is no reason why you have to think in black and white
Unless you have a purpose and your purpose is to fight
As nature flows it goes and it takes you in it's wake
what you have to give you give and what you need you take

So don't run yourself so ragged searching for the sun
Don't run yourself so ragged, you miss so much when you run
